Chloe's Story

Meet Chloe

Meet Chloe, a wise old soul I had the honor of pet-sitting many years ago. Her mom, a coworker of mine, lived just seven doors down.  I didn’t know it then, but Chloe and her special family would have a profound impact on both my pet-sitting business—and my life.

One of the cutest things Chloe would do was take herself for a walk.  When she was ready to go, she'd gently pick up her leash and head down the sidewalk, leading the way with quiet confidence.

In this photo, you can see Chloe gazing into my eyes.  We shared many meaningful moments and silent conversations.  Chloe just “got” me.  She was a classy gal with impeccable manners and a genuine love for people.

Then, one heartbreaking day, Chloe wasn’t herself.  A rushed trip to the vet brought devastating news.  Her family lovingly asked me to be with them when she passed, a moment I will always carry with me.

Since then, they’ve welcomed new furry companions—each one unique, each one loved.  And while no one can ever replace a soul like Chloe, the heart has an endless capacity to grow.

Being there for your pets—and for you—through all stages of their lives, including the final goodbye, is one of the most meaningful parts of what I do.

After my experience with Chloe, I came across Gary Kurz’s book Cold Noses at the Pearly Gates.  It offered me biblical insight into our pets’ journey to Heaven and brought me a great sense of comfort and peace.  Since then, I’ve read all of his books and have even had the opportunity to communicate with him personally.
It would be my honor to share my experience with you and introduce you to some valuable resources, a few of which I’ve included below.
